A major precedent has been set for churches, and other historic buildings by
the first ever installation of a modern component based glass reinforced
polyester GRP roofing system on a Grade 1 listed English church.
With the increasing rise in theft of lead from church roofs, and the
ineffectiveness of anti climb paint and security systems, alternative answers
are needed.
To replace the stolen lead with a new lead roof only encourages the thieves
to return.
We have installed many GRP Roofing systems to bay and dormer roofs, fitting roll bars
and edges to gain the appearance of lead.
The finished colour can even be Grey.
The G.R.P system is mechanically fixed to the building substrate, allowing the roof
to ventilate, and at only 3kg per meter is substantially lighter than lead.
With these difficult times of Lead thefts G.R.P is the long term answer
